Steve is an artist working in a construction world. I first noticed when we made plans for the deck. He would use a computer program to lay out the appearance and schematics so that everyone was on the same page before the project even started. He was very meticulous and careful when working. They way he installed the stairs is unique, beautiful and very appreciated. I love how the deck turned out and I am looking forward to him doing some landscaping in the spring. The only thing you need to know is that since he is an artist his artwork takes time. It's worth the wait.
Steve did a great job Building my deck. He was very easy to work with and keep me informed along the way. Great bunch of guys! Any outdoor projects you are doing I would recommend this company. He had great ideas and took care in his work. I'm already thinking of my next project.
Steve went out of his way to make sure everything was done the way we wanted it, but also he pointed out things that would make the deck even better. When there were challenges he and his crew worked together to solve the problems until he felt it was his very best work. Steve took time and patience to work with his crew to share his expertise with them.
We are very happy with our deck. Our neighbors have also given us many compliments. Thank you Steve. We would recommend Decks by Design.
Steve at Decks by Design was wonderful to work with. He offered us a range of ideas within our budget, beautifully drawn up. His team and subcontractors were courteous and hard working, and tidied up the work sites nicely. Once work was underway, Steve went above and beyond to fix some issues that came up at no extra charge (because, he said, he hadn't quoted us for them up front). He also faced down the bureaucracy at city hall when it turned out that the entire house was in violation of the 25-foot set-back rule, and they said we couldn't do the deck! He handled it all, and I didn't have to worry about a thing. I've happily recommended Decks by Design to my friends in the area. Just be sure to start planning and get on their schedule well before spring!
